Partech produces many components for other Metal Stamping Companies. The precision that we are able to achieve in dimensional tolerancing, flatness, and repeatability far exceeds other metal stamping processes. As a result, many stamping houses have turned to us with their most challenging projects.

Fineblanking can eliminate secondary operations such as:

1. Shaving ­ Fineblanking automatically produces smooth, perpendicular edges. We have eliminated many messy, inconsistent shaving operations.
2. Light forming ­ Fineblanking forms the part before the part is blanked. This eliminates the need for bend allowances. In addition, true positions of holes, edges, etc. are held very precisely, in some cases within .001 overall.
3. Machining for True Positions ­ Because our tooling is produced with punch clearances of only .0002 to .0005 per side, the position of holes and features cannot move. If they did, the punch would hit the die, and we all know what happens then ­ crunch!
4. Grinding ­ We can achieve flatnesses of .001 inch/ inch flatness. In many cases this can eliminate the need for expensive secondary grinding operations.
